Lacquered
Natural Finished Oil

The oiled surface has a characteristic that highlights the unique pattern of certain tree species. These breathing surfaces generate a pleasant feeling with their natural appearance. The durability and wear-resistant property of oiled floors largely depend on the regular and correct cleaning and care.

In order that you can enjoy your parquet for a long time, please follow the pieces of advice listed below!

In use, efforts should be made to minimize the extra exposure, contaminants or moisture affecting the parquet. The small pebbles and fine sand must be prevented from penetrating, because they are the finest grinding powder that wears, scratches the surface. The penetrated dirt must be removed regularly using a vacuum cleaner. The point-like, heavy loads damage the parquet. Different tree species have different hardness, but high heels leave their mark on the parquet made of even the hardest wood. Under the furniture legs pads (e.g. felt) must be bonded, which protects the surface from scratches. Casters of caster-chairs exert extreme load on the surface, therefore it is essential to protect it with underlays or rubber coaster (EN12529) specially made for this purpose.

The parquet and its surface should be protected from moisture. Spilled water or other liquids must be wiped off immediately. Too frequent cleaning or cleaning with too wet cloth may damage the surface.

The parquet is factory-ready oiled, no further oiling is necessary after installation. Nevertheless, if you choose to re-oil the surface, please check beforehand how to carry it out properly or have it done by a professional.

In spite of that, we do recommend that in very frequented places (offices) performing the first surface care after installation, as it serves as an extra protective material. In living spaces the first care immediately after installation is not a condition of putting in the use, but if you decide to do so, please carry out as follows:

  1. After installation remove dust and other dirt with a vacuum cleaner.
  2. Apply small quantities of oil called NATURAL OIL CARE and rub into the surface evenly with a soft cloth or pad. Remove the excess oil. Do not use brush or roller to apply the oil, because it can lead to a substantial loss of material and the drying time will also increase.
  3. After 6 hours drying the surface can be used but wet cleaning should be avoided for 10 more days.

To clean the oily surface a vacuum cleaner with a cleaner head suitable for the parquet is usually sufficient enough.

After dry cleaning use the HYDRO CARE parquet care product, which is a natural, solvent-free, water-delutable product, and cleans and cares the parquet in one. The frequency of care depends on the intensity of use. In a private house, apartment apply it every 2-4 weeks, in public areas, offices every 1-2 weeks, in restaurants, shops every 1-2 days.

  1. If the surface has been treated with another treating agent or the surface is highly sticky, dirty, we recommend the use of HYDRO CLEANER to remove the dirt and the old coating layer.
  2. The HYDRO CARE parquet care product must be applied diluted with water (at least in 1:50 ratio) with a soft cloth or a damp mop.
  3. After drying (approx. 30 minutes) we recommend polishing the surface with a soft pad or cotton cloth. By doing so the optical appearance of the surface will improve.

Later, when the surface loses shine or the surface becomes scratched during the use, it can be easily refreshed by using the NATURAL OIL CARE, thus the lifetime of the oiled floor will extend.

  1. Remove the dust by vacuum cleaning. Clean the surface of the dirt by using HYDRO CLEANER.

Before using try the care product in a less visible place to test its effect.

If possible, always care the entire surface in order to preserve the uniform appearance of the parquet.

Never use detergents containing abrasives, strong alkalis or solvents! They can damage the surface for a prolonged time.

The oil -soaked tools are prone to spontaneous combustion and, therefore, after use roll them out and ventilate until completely dry or sink them in water.

In any case observe the manufacturer's warnings!
